Labor Day Weekend

We spent most of Labor Day weekend at Raccoon Lake visiting with my mom and Bud.

Our visit began with a cornhole tournament. Clark won! Isn't this a great trophy?

He also won this comfy chair.

Charlotte enjoyed many golf cart rides with Grandpa,

and Lincoln enjoyed lots of cuddle time with Grandma.

Charlotte nows insists on driving the golfcart. She actually is doing a pretty good job driving now!

We actually caught a smile!

Charlotte enjoys visiting her grandparents where she can eat whatever she wants. We have discovered that she LOVES her grandma's cheeseball and calls it "dip" for her crackers.

Charlotte always enjoys a sucker when we visit. She insisted on holding Lincoln while she was eating it. Lucky for him...

because she decided to share. Lincoln enjoyed his first sucker!

Charlotte loves to dance, so we knew she would enjoy the one-man band. She went right on "stage" and didn't mind all of the audience watching.

Here is part of the audience - relaxing on their golfcarts. This was maybe a fourth of the people there for the pitch-in and fun.

Visit with Great Grandparents

Lincoln enjoyed time with his Great Grandma Sigmund

and his Great Grandpa Sigmund!

Charlotte loves pushing the buttons for this chair. It makes a loud noise and causes the chair to raise (making it easier to get in and out of the chair).

Visit with Jordan & Kevin

It took nearly three months, but Jordan finally met Lincoln. Charlotte loved having a visit with her uncle Kevin and cousin Jordan. She thought it would be nice to wear her swimsuit over her dress. Jordan loved cuddling with Lincoln and playing with Charlotte.

Visit with MawMaw & PawPaw

Charlotte and Lincoln visited with MawMaw & PawPaw today. Charlotte loved swinging high!

Lincoln enjoyed cuddling with PawPaw.

Doesn't he look so little with my dad holding him?

Lincoln & Maude

Lincoln met Maude today. She was visiting before she starts school this week. It was hard to get a picture where they were both smiling, but here's a good one of Maude!

...and here's a smile from Lincoln

Boating Again

Charlotte, Lincoln, and I visited the lake to go boating one more time before school starts. We had to let Grandpa see how much Charlotte LOVES the water.

Charlotte enjoyed jumping off the boat. Notice how the older girls are holding their noses. Charlotte just kept jumping in - sometimes before anyone else was ready. She swam everywhere and didn't stop until we left.

At first, Lincoln spent some time hanging out on the boat. He was showing lots of smiles!

Lincoln has discovered his feet. At this point, he just stares at them. Can you see the look on his face?

Then Lincoln decided to join the fun in the water. Charlotte wanted to show him how to play with the toys, but he was fine just sitting in the water. He didn't cry at all - not even when his sister splashed him by jumping in the water.

He is so focused.

Lincoln & Jack

Here is Lincoln's buddy Jack. They were born a day apart. Jack is my friend Mandee's baby boy. Aren't they cute? We have already told them they will be friends. Charlotte loves Jack and asks to go see him.

Raccoon Lake

Charlotte loved swimming in the lake this past weekend. We visited my mom and spent the afternoon on my Aunt Susie's boat.

Look at that smile!

Lincoln enjoyed the boat too, but he did not get to do any swimming this time.

Charlotte spent a lot of time climbing on this raft and then jumping off. She didn't mind going underwater.

Charlotte and Grandpa enjoyed a ride on the tractor. As you can tell from her face, she is exhausted and a little scared. She was definitely holding on tight.
